e-Rides is all about being outdoors in nature and exploring unforgettable South African scenery on one of our premium electric mountain bikes.
Stanford Hills Estate is fast becoming one of the area’s most popular attractions. Aside from offering tastings and sales of their award-winning wines, there are a variety of other activities and attractions. Their popular restaurant, The Tasting Room, is set above a dam with views over the Stanford Valley. The farm also produces proteas and pincushions. They offer horse riding, hiking and even whale watching by air in a small aeroplane which takes off from the farm’s private landing strip.
There are different routes starting from AfriCamps at Stanford Hills, aiming for a relaxed vibe and experience on the e-bike. Head towards the charming town of Stanford, overlooking the Klein River Mountains and cycle all the way up to the lagoon, or take the dirt road towards Blue Gum Estate and Stanford Valley while soaking up the scenic views.
Our electric-powered bikes give you the benefits of exploring the area up close, with minimal effort and exhaustion. Ride further (and faster) while saving some energy to enjoy your surroundings. Our high-end MTBs, the Giant Talon E+ 2 and LIV Tempt E+ 2, are battery-powered “pedal assist.” Technically, this means that the motor will give the pedaling a boost.
Full day rental: R650 (helmet and lock included). Ideal for all ages and fitness levels, with a recommended age of 10 years and above (min. height).
