Melozhori Private Game Reserve Lodge offers accommodation in the picturesque Cape folded mountains, adjacent to the tiny hamlet of Stormsvlei in the verdant Overberg district of the Western Cape and just under 200kms from Cape Town.

This predator free game reserve is set on a breathtaking panoramic landscape with uninterrupted views and home to unique mix of indigenous fauna and flora. Accommodation

Melozhori Private Game Reserve Lodge is a rambling thatched lodge that sits comfortably on the slopes above a picturesque dam looking south-west towards the seemingly never ending folds of blue mountains. Entering the lodge, the most characteristic smell of Africa greets you - open thatch.

The vast thatch roof that spans the magnificent lounge and dining area and the bedrooms to either side. Through glass doors, your eye is led over the timber deck and rim-flow pool, onto the mountains beyond; you feel instantly at ease.

Four generous en-suite bedrooms are furnished with King-size beds, and some with fireplaces, flow onto private decks, all overlooking the dam and valley beyond. There are two inside suites and two outside suites. The bathrooms are fitted with basin, toilet, shower or bath or both.

Trees attract natural life to the fringes of the homestead; rise early and you're likely to be sharing the view with giraffes and browsing zebras. Being a family home, the environment is completely safe for children, who will delight in the open spaces and spotting game from our open game-drive vehicle.

For mountain bike enthusiasts, Melozhori offers unchartered land for you to explore and has hosted a number of prestigious mountain biking events.. Finally, take a sundowner picnic into the veld and in the quiet of the evening, listen to those sounds unique to the African veld. We also have spa facilities with a travelling therapist. Childminding is also available at an additional cost.
