Black Eagle Cottage offers off the grid accommodation in Botrivier on Kempsrivier Farm. With a wood-fired hot tub on the covered patio it is ideal as a romantic getaway, small family break. Offering an important break from the every-day hustle, here you are able to truly relax with the ones you love.
Self Catering Accommodation
Black Eagle Cottage in Botrivier sleeps four guests. Country decor meets modern luxury in our renovated farm house. There are two bedrooms, the first is furnished with a Super King-size bed or two three-quarter beds and the second room is furnished with a King-size bed or twin beds. There are two separate bathrooms, one is fitted with a bath, toilet and basin and another fitted with a shower, toilet and basin.
There is a fully equipped kitchen containing everything required for your self catering stay including a dishwasher and washing machine for convenience. The comfortable lounge has a fireplace and is a great place to unwind.
The patio boasts a wood-fired hot tub, a table and chairs and braai facilities.

If you're looking for a luxury "wow factor," then Black Eagle Cottage may not be the place for you. However, if you're looking for a comfortable, home-away-from-home experience, this is an excellent choice. The house is spacious and well-equipped, featuring a large kitchen with more than enough utensils and a separate scullery, which makes longer stays very convenient. The oversized bed is incredibly comfortable, although it is a little squeaky. The bathroom is also spacious and well-maintained. A few small improvements could make the stay even better. It would be helpful to have a toothbrush and toothpaste holder in the bathroom, as well as liquid hand soap instead of only a bar of soap. Adding a light in the braai area would also be a great improvement for evening braais. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the warm, homely atmosphere. It's a great place to relax and unwind, especially for families or groups looking for space and comfort rather than luxury.
