Situated in the quaint little heritage town in the Western Cape, The Heidelberger provides self catering accommodation in Heidelberg for four guests in one unit which has two bedrooms. The spacious apartment is 40m from the road adjacent to a canal where guinea fowl roam, and is 1km from the N2 highway.

Self Catering Accommodation

The Heidelberger Guest Suite has two bedrooms. Each bedroom is equipped with a fan, heater, hairdryer, blankets and hangers. The Couples Room is furnished with a Queen-size bed, dressing table and valet stand. The Family Room is furnished with a double bed and bunk bed. Both rooms make use of one bathroom which is fitted with a bath, shower, toilet and basin. Bathroom amenities are provided.

There is an open plan dining area and kitchen is equipped with a full-size fridge/freezer, stove, microwave, kettle, toaster and a coffee machine. Cutlery, crockery and glassware are provided as are teas and coffees.

The suite has a small library and games are available for guests to use at leisure. TV with satellite channels and Netflix are available. In addition, the unit has a braai area, secure parking and free Wi-Fi.

Activities and Attractions

Heidelberg is nestled between the Langeberg Mountains and the Indian Ocean along the Duivenhoks River in the Western Cape. The Doornboom Homestead was built in 1728 and the town was established in 1855 around the majestic Dutch Reformed Church.

In the area are many trails and day drives for nature lovers as well as the World Heritage Sites of Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve and Boosmansbos Wilderness Area. The Bontebok National Park and Heidelberg Bird Route are excellent for bird lovers.

The coastal town of Witsand, about 40km away, is a well known whale watching site. The pont across the Breede River at Malgas is not to be missed. Other attractions nearby are the Star Nation Art Gallery, Bright Yellow Antiques, Blue Crane and Skeerhok Farm Stalls, Delish Restaurant & Wine Shop, Heidelberg Nursery and Die Rooi Pot Coffee Shop.
