About Hermanus Beach Club 21

House 21 at Hermanus Beach Club offers a unique and unforgettable holiday experience! Fall asleep and wake up to sounds of waves crashing on the rocky foreshore, just 100 metres away from the property. There are very few – if any – holiday accommodations in the Western Cape that offer such an experience. Perfect for whale viewing from June to December each year.

Self Catering Accommodation

House 21 has three bedrooms. There are two downstairs bedrooms. The first seafront facing room is furnished with a Queen-size bed. The second room has two single beds. The upstairs room is furnished with a double bed and has an amazing sea view. There is a bathroom downstairs with basin, shower, bath and toilet and one upstairs bathroom with a bath (no shower). Complimentary shower gel and towels are provided.

The living area includes: fully equipped kitchen (stove, toaster, coffee machine, fridge-freezer, microwave oven, air fryer, dish-washer); dining table with six chairs, and two two-seater sofas with TV. There is plenty of cutlery, crockery, wine and beer glasses, and cooking equipment (pots and utensils). Tea, coffee and milk are provided. Included is Wi-Fi and TV with DSTV (with the full sports package!).

There is a walled outside area with aluminium table and six chairs. A braai is in the garage. There are also two sun-loungers with cushions. In the garage there is a washing machine available.

In the event of load-shedding, there is power back-up (48V 5kVA inverter, 5kWh lithium battery). It comes on automatically, no intervention needed.

Parking is available for one vehicle in the garage. A second vehicle can be parked on the curb outside the house.

Complex facilities

Complex facilities include: club-house with bar and games room, gym, swimming pools, mini golf, tennis and squash courts, coin-operated launderette (all freely available for guests).

Attractions

Hermanus is a seaside town southeast of Cape Town, in South Africa's Western Cape Province. It's known as a whale-watching destination. Beaches include Voëlklip Beach and the broad Grotto Beach, overlooking Walker Bay. The Old Harbour Museum is a site encompassing the old harbour, a fishermen's village and the Whale House Museum. The latter has informative displays and a suspended skeleton of a whale.

We had a superior stay at House 21, Hermanus Beach Club! The gorgeous, comfortable self-catering accommodation with communal garden area and a swimming pool provides the perfect getaway. The apartment is situated in the Hermanus Beach Club complex with 24-hour security and entertainment, and has uninterrupted ocean views. The complex offers communal swimming pools, putt-putt, tennis courts, a gym, pool tables, a squash court, a volleyball court, a bar, a shop for basic necessities, and a laundry. The villa is well equipped and comfortable. It is 1.5 km from the new Hermanus harbour, 2.2 km from a private hospital, and 3.8 km from the centre of town with restaurants, shops and entertainment. We can highly recommend this property!
