About Gecko House

Located a stone's throw from the beach, Gecko House in Pringle Bay is a modern, beautifully designed house that has spectacular views of the beach and the bay. Offering luxury accommodation, Gecko House is a perfect holiday destination for a large family or group of friends with children looking to get away.

Self Catering Accommodation

Sleeping a maximum of ten guests (six adults and four children), Gecko House has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The lower level has three large bedrooms (two Queen-size beds, one with bunk beds for children) and two bathrooms with showers, while the upper floor has one large bedroom with a spacious en-suite bathroom.

The main living area is upstairs and leads onto a large balcony with full views across False Bay and the surrounding mountains. There is another living are downstairs and a large deck / sun roof accessible from the main balcony. There is a fully equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, fridge / freezer, microwave and dishwasher.

Certain pets are permitted but are subject to restrictions, please speak to management if you wish to bring your pets. Please note that smoking is not permitted in the house.

Activities and Attractions

Situated in a World Heritage site, Pringle Bay offers scenic walks from Harold Porter Botanical Gardens and Kleinmond. The beach is 1.4km from end to end and the house is situated close to the northern end of the beach with easy access to the lagoon where the Buffels river empties into the ocean – a perfect place for a dip in the water and with rocks and streams for children to play in/on.

If you visit during the months of June to November you may be lucky enough to see whales and there is a well known Jackass penguin colony in Betty's Bay. Shark cage diving is available in Gansbaai.

Golf enthusiasts can enjoy a round at the Kleinmond course or alternatively the 5 star Arabella Estate is only 30kms away. Pringle Bay has a variety of restaurants to choose from should you feel like a meal out.

Gecko House

Gecko House offers four luxurious bedrooms and three bathrooms split over two levels, with an additional sun deck on the roof for 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains and ocean. Downstairs there are 3 bedrooms, the first bedroom has 4 bunk beds and the remaining 2 rooms have double beds. There are 2 family bathrooms with showers. Upstairs there is a master suite with a King-size bed and en-suite bathroom. The master suite also has a full sea view. The large living area has a television (DStv) and fireplace. Sliding glass doors exit onto an exterior balcony with stunning views. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a built in braai on the balcony.

Child policyChildren of all ages are welcome. Please exercise caution with children on balcony and stairs. Kindly ensure that the gate for the spiral staircase leading up to the roof, is always closed and secured.
