About Black Barn

The Black Barn is set in lush Fynbos on an exclusive and private Beach Estate. It is located 400m from a white sandy beach. The Black Barn offers a completely private stay, in three bedrooms and generous living area with a nature filled outside entertainment area.

Self Catering Accommodation

The Black Barn was developed to offer a no frills relaxing experience in pristine nature. The house is set in lush Fynbos with distant sea views.

There are three en-suite bedrooms all furnished with King-size extra length beds. The rooms are private and relaxed. All en-suite bathrooms have walk-in showers, no bath.

There is a guest loo and an open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area set in the double volume space, ensuring that you experience the luxury of space. There is a North facing courtyard with built-in seating, adjacent to the Pergola covered outside dining area and an external braai/fireplace.

The KolKol tub complete with fire-heated stove is set in the Fynbos above the courtyard so while sipping something cool the others can attend to the braai. There is also a “Boules court” to try your skill at this French art of marbles.

The Estate

The beach is a few hundred metres from the homes. The beach is safe and the water warm enough for swimming. We have a number of winding tracks cut into the Fynbos for the most enjoyable walks. The perimeter walk is roughly 6km long. There is a herd of Springbokkies, Bontebokke and a family of Zebras. They roam all over. Two stretches of unspoilt white paradise beaches are on either side of the Estate. This is only accessible with 4x4 vehicles and Wildcard tokens. (One at De Kelders and one next to Uilenkraalsmond).

The Kleinbaai Golf Club is directly adjacent to the Estate where they welcome our residents and guests to play a relaxed game of coastal Fynbos Course Golf. Bring surplus balls as the Fynbos is known to devour balls.
