About Eyrie House

Eyrie House can be found on Porcupine Hills Farm and offers a truly comfortable, luxurious and stylish stay, perfect for indoor and outdoor living. Porcupine Hills Guest and Olive Farm, just 1,5 hours outside of Cape Town, is located in the Cape Overberg along the beautiful Van der Stel Pass. Porcupine Hills is situated along the Van Der Stel Pass. This allows access to various day trip options beyond the boundaries of the farm.

Self Catering Accommodation

Eyrie House is a self catering holiday home sleeping six guests in three en-suite bedrooms. The largest bedroom can be made up as either as a king bed or two singles, with a kids sleeper couch in an adjacent area.

The second bedroom has a queen size bed and the third bedroom has the option of either a king-size bed or twin. Each bedroom opens onto a vine-covered veranda with two private outdoor showers.

There is an open plan lounge / dining with a large fireplace, comfortable couches and armchairs, a flat-screen TV (satellite channels and DVD player) and free Wi-Fi.

The fully equipped kitchen has a large fridge/freezer, gas hob, oven and dishwasher. There is a dining table for twelve guests. The dining room and lounge open onto a covered deck with a table and comfortable lounge chairs, which looks over the garden, pool and mountain where you can watch the Verreaux eagles who have a very well-established nest high up on the cliff-face.

There is a large outdoor braai, swimming pool, loungers and a sprawling private garden.

Firewood and Firelighters are sold at reception. We supply all bathroom amenities, tea, filter coffee, sugar and complimentary farm olive oil.

Experiences

There are wonderful walking / hiking trails as well as 4x4 tracks around the farm suitable for mountain bikers. There are beautiful pools to swim in, rock pools in the Bot- and Kloof Rivers and a dam with clear clean water and floating jetty. If you are a keen birdwatcher, download the bird and wildlife list before your visit to enjoy the sightings.
