Ridge House Guesthouse offers accommodation in Hermanus with a spectacular view across the Walker Bay, the Cape mountains and natural fynbos. Conveniently located in Hermanus, but slightly away from the hustle and bustle, Ridge House is a peaceful, romantic hideaway, less than two hours' drive from Cape Town.

Ridge House is Guest House in Hermanus offers four luxurious suites, all individually decorated and all offering spacious and comfortable en-suite accommodation and amenities. All suites have private sea-facing decks and spectacular views, while three of the suites have a private kol-kol wood fired hot tub.

At the heart of our guesthouse is a central lounge, dining and bar area, featuring a breathtaking deck with 180-degree panoramic views, from which you can see both the sunrise and sunset. Enjoy a drink and relax in front of the fire.

The spacious, yet sheltered garden with camp fire boma offers guests a relaxing evening experience under the stars. The garden is a haven for birds and small wildlife, and you can look forward to seeing guinea-fowl, owls, sunbirds and many other endemic species during your stay. Our resident mongoose might even make an appearance.

There is on-site secure parking, and storage for bicycles if required.

The Area

Ridge House is situated in the beautiful town of Hermanus in the Overberg region of South Africa. Hermanus boasts a range of attractions including some of the world's best land-based whale watching (Jul-Nov), the beautiful Hermanus Cliff Path, and a delightful choice of lovely restaurants, wine farms, galleries, shops, hidden alleyways, coffee shops and nightlife. The centre of town is a 10-minute walk or 1-minute drive from Ridge House. We have plenty of secure on-site parking if you have your own vehicle, or we can assist you with arranging taxis, transfers and wine tours.
