Porcupine Hills Guest and Olive Farm, just 1,5 hours outside of the city of Cape Town, is located in the Overberg along the beautiful Van der Stel Pass. Porcupine Hills is situated along the Van Der Stel Pass. This allows access to various day trip options beyond the boundaries of the farm.

Self Catering Accommodation

Klipboks is made up of renovated old farm buildings sleeping eight guests in four en-suite bedrooms, two with double beds and two with twin beds. The bathrooms all have showers.

This unit provides the perfect atmosphere for group get-togethers as it offers ample open-plan indoor and outdoor living space and comfortable bedrooms for resting after a day out exploring. Charming and rustic it feels like camping but you get to sleep in a comfortable bed with your own bathroom. There is an indoor kitchen with a fridge/freezer and an outdoor kitchen with gas hotplates but no oven.

The deep plunge pool is perfect for cooling off after a days hike or just lazing next to on the grass with a book. Situated next to the river with views of the poplar forest and the surrounding hills, it's a wonderful vantage point of the farm, giving the feeling of space, privacy and natural beauty.

Firewood and Firelighters are sold at reception. We supply all bathroom amenities, tea, filter coffee, sugar and complimentary farm olive oil.

Activities

There are wonderful walking / hiking trails as well as 4x4 tracks around the farm suitable for mountain bikers. There are beautiful pools to swim in, rock pools in the Bot- and Kloof Rivers and a dam with clear clean water and floating jetty. If you are a keen birdwatcher, download the bird and wildlife list before your visit to enjoy the sightings.
