De Mond is a character-filled holiday home in Hermanus offering modern comfort ideal for both relaxed family living and entertaining. "De Mond" occupies a large seafront erf with sweeping views across Walker Bay and the surrounding mountains and is the ideal setting for your well-deserved stay in Hermanus.

Self Catering Accommodation

The Main Homestead offers three en-suite bedrooms as well as a farm-style kitchen, dining room, library and family room, plus a spacious lounge which leads out onto a vine-covered patio. Separate from the main house is a substantial Garden Cottage with another two en-suite bedrooms and a double garage. Rolling park-like gardens have been immaculately maintained, and include a number of mature trees.

The main house has two rooms with King-size beds with full en-suite bathrooms, and one room with a Queen-size bed and a shower only en-suite bathroom. The garden cottage has one room with a Queen-size bed and one room furnished with two three-quarter beds. These rooms both have full en-suite bathrooms.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering including a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. The lounge has a TV with DStv and Wi-Fi is provided.

This home is not equipped with a back-up power source for loadshedding.

Attractions

Hermanus is a seaside town southeast of Cape Town, in South Africa's Western Cape Province. It's known as a whale-watching destination. Beaches include Voëlklip Beach and the broad Grotto Beach, overlooking Walker Bay. The Old Harbour Museum is a site encompassing the old harbour, a fishermens village and the Whale House Museum. The latter has informative displays and a suspended skeleton of a whale.
