The Breede River offers water-lovers the very best of it, all within some of the prettiest countryside of South Africa. This river is calm, with inviting banks along which families can picnic or braai, camp, or spend the day with their fishing rods.

The PiliPili Adventure Centre is located at the Breede River in Witsand, and is all about enjoying water sports to the max and taking full advantage of the gorgeous conditions of the longest navigable river in the country. The adventure centre runs from a small private harbour, giving visitors the best opportunities to have the most amount of fun.

The PiliPili Adventure Centre offers a number of activities. These include:

• Kite surfing lessons
• Stand Up Paddle (SUP) boards to rent, and lessons with full boat support
• Fishing charters to catch some of the really exciting species that can be found here
• Boat cruises

Thanks to the gentle waters of the river, learning to SUP or kite surf, or going for a fishing cruise are safe and fun activities. However, having the trained and experienced guidance of the PiliPili pros adds a massive degree of confidence, allowing visitors to feel free to have all the fun they want. The adventure centre celebrates the beauty and variety around them, and is keen to share it with visitors of all ages.

PiliPili is situated in Witsand, which is where whales can frequently be seen between June and November, as they migrate to San Sebastian Bay. Seeing these ocean giants is a humbling, deeply moving experience.
