Madre’s Kitchen in Stanford

Madre’s Kitchen is a wonderful destination for the whole family, set on a beautiful farm, a few hundred metres outside of Stanford. As picture perfect as a postcard, one can tell immediately that Madre is a savvy entrepreneur and talented restaurateur. Madre definitely knows that the beauty is in the detail – with strong design elements evident everywhere from the menu and décor, through to the delightful little shop located a few paces from the restaurant.

The menu is rich with delightful offerings of nouveau country cooking. Expect to be charmed by everything you order, from breakfast muesli and fruit, through to cupcakes and tea. Parents will be relieved to know that Madre’s caters to energetic children, with a trampoline and vast fields to run wild in! It is rare to find a family friendly spot that serves delicious food, for kids and adults. Madre’s doesn’t dumb itself down – the food is heavenly.

Surrounded by vineyards, Madres takes its wine seriously too! Enquire beforehand about wine tastings in their newly built dedicated wine tasting room. Before leaving, remember to amble down to the little store, which stocks handmade goods, vintage finds and bottled preserves, made by Madre herself.
