About Joubert-Tradauw Private Cellar
In 1982 Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot and Chardonnay cultivars were planted at the Joubert-Tradauw farm. However, it was only in the late 1990's that the old farm building was restored and turned into a wine maturation cellar.
The fermentation cellar was built in 1998 and the first grapes harvested in 1999. And the R62 Merlot / Cabernet Blend was born! This very popular wine is produced with approximately 3000 cases per annum.
This cellar is commited to producing elegant, handcrafted wine that can be enjoyed at any times. The grapes are hand picked and then naturally fermented, unfiltered and matured for at least a year. The wines carry layers of flavour and aroma. With two separate labels, namely the self titled Joubert-Tradouw and Unplugged 62 you'll be spoilt for choice.
