The Joyful Tortoise is a spacious double-storey holiday residence situated in the vibrant heart of Hermanus. Positioned between dramatic mountain scenery and far-reaching 180-degree ocean views, it provides an inviting setting for a relaxed coastal getaway. The home combines comfort and practicality with convenient access to nearby attractions, restaurants, and walking trails, making it well suited to family holidays or group stays with friends.
Accommodation
This air-conditioned home accommodates 6 guests in 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms.
The main bedroom is fitted with a king-size bed and includes a private en-suite bathroom with both a bath and a shower. The second bedroom also offers a king-size bed, while the third bedroom is furnished with two single beds. The second bathroom is shared between these rooms and is equipped with both a bath and a shower. All linen and bath towels are supplied for guests’ convenience.
The property includes a fully equipped kitchen with a separate scullery, designed to support longer stays with ease. Appliances provided include a gas stove, oven, air fryer, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, toaster, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer. A breakfast bar with seating is also available for informal meals. The open-plan lounge and dining area offer comfortable furnishings for both relaxation and shared dining, while entertainment is catered for through a smart TV with DStv access and complimentary Wi-Fi.
Outdoor living is well catered for, with a deck area featuring seating, sun loungers, and gas braai facilities. Guests are also provided with ample parking and the added benefit of an inverter system to support essential power during outages.
