About Sumaridge Estate Wines

When visiting Sumaridge, you will realise exactly why the region is named ‘Hemel-en-Aarde’ meaning Heaven and Earth. With scenic views as far was the eye can see over the Atlantic Ocean and vineyards, there is no better place to sip on a glass of wine and relax away from the bustle of the city.

Whilst it’s owned by the Bellingham Turner family, the man behind the wine is Gavin Patterson. His exploration of the viticultural world began in Zimbabwe where he worked as a winemaker of Green Valley Vineyards in Zimbabwe. He joined Sumaridge in 2005 and since then has been winning awards through the globe for his winemaking and viticulture skills. His goal is to “Harness the character of Sumaridge’s exceptional terroir in a bottle of wine.

Their wines include a Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Maritimus, Epitome, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot Rose and Merlot. Their restaurant, Warwick’s is another reason to visit the estate and their chefs put top meals together to pair perfectly with their wines.
