About Hermanus Zipline Tour

The popular whale-watching town of Hermanus continues to be one of the Western Cape Province’s loveliest attractions. Every year, between June and October / November, Southern Right and Humpback whales skirt the coast as they make their way to warmer breeding grounds. They breach and frolic just off the coast, making for gorgeous displays for whale-watchers.

The zipline tours offer locals and visitors to Hermanus the opportunity to experience this historical town from a new perspective. These tree top tours comprise 12 different ziplines, all of varying heights and profiles. Each of these offers adventurous visitors a unique view and experience of the Western Cape and its beauty. The ziplines extend from the mountain and over a small waterfall, and range from 20 to 120 metres above ground level. You will glide from platform to platform with the aid of two experienced guides, who will provide advice, guidance and interesting info along the way.

Thanks to the braking system, which is easy to control, the slides can be tackled at the speed that you choose. So, those looking for a peaceful glide over the poplar trees and canyon will enjoy the experience as much as the adrenalin junkies wanting to test their nerves and staying power.

The bird life that shares the canopy with visitors is abundant and varied, providing a stunning backing track to the fun.

For those wanting to skip the walk up to the first platform, there is a large quad train that is now in service. The added cost for this transport is minimal per person, which goes to the NGO that raises funds for local community initiatives.

Cape Town, which is the capital city of the Western Cape, is only about an hour’s drive from Hermanus, and is full of tourist attractions and historical hotspots.
