About The Olive House Restaurant
We regret, this restaurant has closed.
Montagu is home to the beautiful Olive House Restaurant, which occupies the second-oldest house in the town. The house has been named a National Monument, and has a typically Cape style to its architecture. Owned by qualified German-trained executive chefs, the Olive House boasts a varied menu with influences from all over the world.
Meals can be enjoyed in one of two venues inside the historical home. Each has a fireplace for the cold Karoo winter evenings, making the ambience cosy. Full meals are created for hungry patrons, but those simply wanting to indulge in some good coffee and a generous slice of baked cheesecake or apple crumble are also sure to enjoy the Olive House.
Intimate functions for between 30 and 50 people are well accommodated here and the prices are reasonable.
