Mongoose Farm Cottage offers Wolseley accommodation on a 65h working farm and game park, on the foot of the Witzenberg Mountains. Only 1 hour and 30 minutes from Cape Town, it is a comfortable scenic drive after a long week's work, or even a quick mid-week break.

Self Catering Accommodation

Mongoose Farm Cottage is a self catering holiday home in Wolseley sleeping six guests. Two rooms are furnished with Queen-size beds and the third room is furnished with twin beds. There are two bathrooms, one is fitted with a bath, shower, toilet and basin and the second bathroom if fitted with a shower, toilet and basin.

The comfortable living area has a flat screen TV with selected satellite channels and uncapped Wi-Fi. The kitchen is fully equipped for your self catering stay and boasts a washing machine for convenience. Limited cleaning supplies are provided. Coffee, tea and sugar are in containers in the kitchen, as well as 250ml milk and rusks.

There is a dining table where you can enjoy your meals, alternatively you can choose to dine outside on the covered veranda alongside the built in braai.

The veranda has a hammock where you can relax and admire the view and boasts a wood fired hot tub on the deck. A bag of wood is provided and additional wood can be purchased.

On Site Facilities

The farm offers two communal swimming pools, to be shared with other guests. There are plenty of birds and game wandering about, so remember your binoculars.

Pets

Well behaved pets are welcome by arrangement. Pets sleep on their beds, not ours. Whilst we warmly welcome your pets, please adhere to the following, as agreed upon at the time of confirmed booking. If the linen or scatter cushions or blankets are soiled to such an extent that it cannot be cleaned, this will be at the pet owners 'expense'. Damage due to chewing will also incur replacement/repair costs. These costs will be claimed after guests depart, once the property has been inspected. When walking your pets, they must be on a leash at all times. Do not leave your pets unattended for long periods of time, to prevent them from barking and disturbing other guests.

Area Information

Wolseley is a small town in the upper Breede River Valley region of the Western Cape province of South Africa. Birdwatching and Game watching on the farm, remember your binoculars. Horse Riding, Zip Lining, Mountain Bike Trails and Wine Farms are all in the area. Children can enjoy feeding farm animals at a neighbouring farm.
