The Farmhouse is located at Kloofzicht Estate, the first wine estate as you approach the valley from the Nuwekloof pass, and is about 4km before the Tulbagh Village. This self-catering, pet-friendly accommodation in Tulbagh valley, istotally surrounded by mountains on all sides.

Self Catering Accommodation

The Farmhouse is a thatched double-storey holiday home in Tulbagh with five bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen-sized bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath. The second bedroom has a double bed, a single sleeper couch, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The third bedroom has a king bed and en-suite bathroom with a shower and a bath. The fourth bedroom has a double bed, single sleeper couch, and en-suite bathroom with a bath. The fifth bedroom has two single beds.

The farmhouse kitchen is equipped for self-catering and has a huge fireplace, marble-topped cupboards, a dishwasher, and a double-sized oven.

The terraced entertainment area with a 14 seater table, large braai and wood-fired hot tub with a stunning view over the 14m communal swimming pool, dam and mountains.

Please bring extra towels for swimming and use at the hot tub.

On Site Facilities

There is an inviting 14m swimming pool next to the main farmhouse which may be enjoyed by all guests staying at Kloofzicht Estate. There is also a deli-style restaurant.

The dam is excellent for bass and carp fishing or paddling in our boats. The dam with the islands is safe for swimming or for having fun with the kids in the rowing boat. Stroll down beyond the dams alongside the vineyards to the river winding through the farm and you will notice that the willow trees around the dams have created a birdwatcher's paradise!

Attractions

Situated as it is in the bowl of so many mountains, Tulbagh is an ideal outdoorsy retreat, offering horse riding, hiking, mountain biking, bass and carp fishing, birding and 4×4 routes, besides wine, that is. The charming historical town of Tulbagh is in the winelands of the Boland in the Western Cape. Part of the Witzenberg municipal region, immediate neighbouring towns are Gouda, Wolseley, Ceres and Prince Alfred's Hamlet. Towns such as Wellington, Malmesbury, Paarl, Franschhoek, Riebeek Kasteel, Piketberg, Porterville, Rawsonville, Worcester and Stellenbosch are within three quarters of an hour's drive from the valley and Cape Town is only 120km distant.
