About Montagu Little Sanctuary
Little Sanctuary is a tranquil adults-only self-catering retreat in Montagu, located on a private 2.5-hectare estate framed by mountains, vineyards and mature gardens. The grounds provide a beautiful natural setting, home to diverse birdlife, seasonal wildflowers, indigenous vegetation and an abundance of natural herbs that change throughout the year.
Accommodation
Guests can choose from four generously sized self-catering apartments, each designed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Every apartment features a steam shower, spa bath or Jacuzzi, fully equipped kitchen and private patio. For a more secluded escape, Eagle's Nest is a charming mountain cottage positioned closer to nature, offering a peaceful retreat surrounded by the beauty of the landscape.

On Site Facilities
Little Sanctuary offers two swimming pools, including a natural, chemical-free pool, as well as attractive garden pathways, abundant birdlife and expansive mountain views. Guests can also enjoy discounted access to the neighbouring Avalon Hot Springs, making it easy to combine relaxation at the estate with a rejuvenating hot springs experience.
A proclaimed mountain reserve borders the estate directly behind the property, extending the natural surroundings and creating a wonderful sense of space, tranquillity and untouched beauty.
Activities
Well-maintained walking and mountain biking trails are available nearby, providing an excellent way to experience the surrounding countryside at your own pace. Start the day with a peaceful walk in the crisp mountain air, or set out for an afternoon cycle as the surrounding peaks take on softer tones towards sunset.

Situated in the picturesque town of Montagu in the Western Cape, Little Sanctuary provides an ideal base for exploring the region's mountains, vineyards, heritage buildings and natural attractions.
