Bergsicht Outpost Cottages offers cozy, comfortable, country chic accommodation on a working farm located 7km outside of Tulbagh. The lovely farm setting is ideal for romantic stays and family breakaways.

Accommodation

Bergsicht Outpost Holiday Cottages in Tulbagh are air-conditioned and each have an indoor fireplace and outdoor wood-fired hot tub, so you can make the most of the gorgeous view over the Winterhoek and Witzenberg Mountain ranges. The cottages are comfortably furnished and elegantly decorated with fireplaces to keep the units warm during the winter.

The cottages are furnished with a King-size bed and have an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, toilet and basin. Bathroom amenities, bath towels and swimming towels are provided.

There is a fully equipped kitchenette with a tea / coffee station. Balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper are also provided. Free Wi-fi and a small blue tooth speaker are included.

Outside is a deck with a built-in braai and the wood-fired hot tub. Wood is included for your first fire, but extra wood is also for sale on site.

Covered parking is available.

Activities and Attractions

There is an abundance of activities in and around the Witzenberg Valley. The Ceres Golf Club and the Ceres Zip Slide are 30 minutes from Tulbagh, book a massage at the Vindoux Day Spa, go horse riding with Vrolikheid Horse Trails which are five minutes from the cottages, book a scenic tractor ride up the Oudekloof Pass, picnic on one of the nearby farms.

Go cyling along the scenic routes in the valley, enjoy an afternoon of wine tasting along the Tulbagh Wine Route, test your legs hiking on Murludi Farm, explore the famous Church Street with its National Monuments, have lunch at any of the restaurants in town and visit the Oude Kerk VolksMuseum.

I had the most incredible stay. It was just me taking some time out from the rat race & I spent the weekend relaxing & taking in the exquisite surroundings of the cottage. It is a beautiful cottage, with wine farms & plenty to do in the surrounds, or just taking some time out to relax. I will most definitely be back.
