The Boathouse at Oakhurst Olives offers accommodation in Tulbagh set against the slopes of the Groot Winterhoek Mountains which forms part of the Cape Winelands. This tranquil farming valley is nestled between three mountains, The Groot Winterhoek, The Witzenberg and the Obiqua and is only 90 minutes from Cape Town.

Self Catering Accommodation

The Boathouse at Oakhurst Olives is a private and exclusive self catering holiday cottage in Tulbagh which sleeps a two guests only. The bedroom has a Queen-size bed, white percale linen, air conditioning and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet and a basin. Bed linen and bathroom towels are provided.

The living area and bedroom open out on to the wrap around patio overlooking the water. The open plan living area has a log fire place, underfloor heating, a dining table and a fully equipped kitchen that contains a scullery and a dishwasher for convenience. The patio has a hot tub, barbecue / braai as well as a gas barbecue and dining area.

On the lower level there is a ladder to access the water for swimming (swimming towels are provided) as well as a kayak and life jackets for your use. Please note that all activities are at your own risk.

On Site Activities

During your stay you can enjoy hiking on the farm tracks, through the mountain fynbos and the olive orchards. Bird-watching is popular here as is swimming and kayaking. We have two energetic dogs on the farm who have total freedom and are likely to pay you a visit during your stay. They also enjoy accompanying guests when they do the hikes, if you like :)
