About Fisaasbos

Fisaasbos is a self catering rondawel cottage located on a working fruit farm in Tulbagh. This comfortable cottage is perched on a hill and has lovely views of the mountain and valley. There are a number of things to do within easy reach.

Self Catering Accommodation

The thoughtfully restored thatched cottage has served as secondary house and bachelor's cottage to the main farm since the 1940s. The cottage is an extended rondawel with three bedrooms: two doubles and one sleeping four on bunk beds. One double room claims a fireplace, the other the en suite bathroom (shower and bath). A second bathroom serves the rest. All linen and towels are provided.

The pleasant kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering purposes, with dishwasher, stove, a 2 plate gas hob, microwave, fridge and coffee machine. The living room opens up onto the front stoep, with views stretching across the valley, all the way to town and beyond.

A backyard braai is set in the shade of giant oak trees and with a view up the mountain slopes, cliffs and kloofs. The yard fence is secure for pets and small children with two gated driveways either side of the house. Some decent size oak and pecan trees provide plenty of shade for lazy lawn days, boulle or ball sports. We provide a braai grid, utensils and wood.

Guests have private access to all spaces in and around the house and yard. Hiking and biking are allowed on all farm roads but driving is allowed on access roads only. Interaction with guests Your host, Jan, lives in the main house and will offer an alternative contact on days/weekends when he is not available or around.
