Pruim Cottage offers a digital detox vacation on a picturesque working farm, located approximately 10km from central Montagu. The cottage is off-the-grid and enjoys lovely farm views, Langeberg Mountains, and the starry night sky of the Klein Karoo can be admired during your stay.

Self Catering Accommodation

Pruim Cottage offers comfortable accommodation near Montagu. The cottage has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with twin beds. The bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet and basin.

The open plan living area has a kitchenette fitted with a two-plate gas stove, fridge and tea / coffee making facilities. The lounge area has an indoor braai.

The large covered patio boasts a wood-fired hot tub and an outdoor braai.

There is no electricity, however, each cottage contains a gas geyser to heat the water; no use of hairdryers, cellphone chargers etc. can be used. There are LED lights and paraffin lamps in the cottage.

Guests can take a trip into town to visit the shops, historical sites, or the famous hot mineral springs. There are also a variety of outdoor adventure activities to experience in the area. Lying between Cape Town and Oudtshoorn on the renowned Cape Route 62, the longest wine route in the world, Montagu offers a range of attractions, from healing hot springs to historic museums that are well worth a visit. Montagu’s most famous attraction is its hot mineral springs that reside at a temperature of 43 degrees celcius. Spend your days relaxing in the warm, healing waters and feel the tension of everyday city life melt away. Spending time in Montagu is a great way to unwind.

There is an extensive list of activities to enjoy such as fishing, riverboat trips up the Breede River, and a circular walk through the idyllic Montagu Nature Garden. Adrenaline junkies will get a thrill out of mountain biking, abseiling, and paragliding.
