Worcester Golf Course, Worcester
Worcester Golf Course, Worcester, Western Cape, South Africa / The Worcester Golf Club is situated at the start of the Western Cape’s Klein Karoo, approximately 50 minutes from Cape Town en route to Oudtshoorn and the Garden Route.
The course was designed by Peter Matkovich, at that time in partnership with Gary Player. The championship course is situated in the foothills of the Brandwacht Mountains with a panoramic view of Worcester and the Breede River Valley. Gary has described the site as one of the finest in the world. The rugged natural beauty of the Karoo has been enhanced by indigenous trees, dams and watercourses.
A combination of biosphere, parklands and links, Worcester is a challenging course, which rewards daring shots but can severely punish bad ones. The large bent grass greens were built and are maintained to the highest standards. Accurately placed aloes and boulders act as markers measuring the distances to the greens.

Appropriate golf attire is required. No handicap is required unless you are entering a competition. Members only on Wednesday afternoons.
