Nestled between the majestic Montagu mountains, Alpaca Inn offers self catering in Montagu and an authentic colonial Cape Dutch experience. Walking out on the covered deck facing the Kinga River and Marloth Nature Reserve mountains. The units are situated on a small farm holding, with Alpacas and surrounded by beautiful mountains.

The Cottage has three bedrooms. The first has a Queen-size bed, the second has a Queen-size bed and a crib and the third room has a Queen-size bed and a sofa bed.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed for your self catering stay. There is a living area with an indoor fireplace.
On the covered veranda, you can enjoy sunset drinks, set for romantic outdoor dining, or walk onto the beautiful green grass for a braai (BBQ) and cool off in the portable pool.

Experience
Enjoy expansive views of the pecan nut trees, Alpaca paddocks and imposing mountains. Enjoy the animal feeding and handling with Petrus, our Estate manager. The donkeys love apples, pumpkin and beetroot. Guests can expect to wake up in the morning to the ordinary early morning animal voices, reminding you that you're in nature.

A beautiful cottage with stunning views. The cottage is well equipped and I especially liked the shower with the large old fashioned shower head. There is a big range cooker so if that's your thing you could cook a feast and a large fridge to keep everything you need cold. I only dipped a toe in the outdoor pool as it was a bit windy on our stay but we enjoyed a trip to Montagu hot springs which is very close. The animals made my stay unforgettable. Timmy the dog who stayed with us for the 3 nights and the owners' daughter's dogs who visited for the weekend were fab not to mention feeding the llamas. Can't wait to visit again in the future.

Wonderful house, spacious, beautiful setting so close to the town centre yet feeling fully like a farm. Well equipped house. Great interactions with the alpacas, sheep and donkeys for young kids.
