Harry's Lakeside Cottage is located at Kloofzicht Estate, the first wine estate as you approach the valley from the Nuwekloof pass, and is about 4km before the Tulbagh Village. This self-catering, pet-friendly accommodation in Tulbagh is set in the tranquil valley, totally surrounded by mountains on all sides.

Self Catering Accommodation

Harry's Lakeside Cottage consists of two interleading cottages, each furnished with two day beds or a double bed in the open plan dining and kitchen area. Each cottage has a separate bathroom with a shower, toilet and basin.

The kitchens are equipped with a 2 plate-stove and oven, fridge and microwave. There is a dining area and a lounge. Outside are braai facilities and a wood-fired hot tub.

Please bring extra towels for swimming and use at the hot tub.

Pets are welcome by arrangement.

On Site Facilities

There is an inviting 14m swimming pool next to the main farmhouse which may be enjoyed by all guests staying at Kloofzicht Estate. There is also a deli-style restaurant.

The dam is excellent for bass and carp fishing or paddling in our boats. The dam with the islands is safe for swimming or for having fun with the kids in the rowing boat. Stroll down beyond the dams alongside the vineyards to the river winding through the farm and you will notice that the willow trees around the dams have created a birdwatcher's paradise!

Attractions

Tulbagh is an ideal outdoorsy retreat, offering horse riding, hiking, mountain biking, bass and carp fishing, birding and 4×4 routes, besides wine, that is. The historical town is in the winelands of the Boland in the Western Cape. Part of the Witzenberg municipal region, immediate neighbouring towns are Gouda, Wolseley, Ceres and Prince Alfred's Hamlet. Towns such as Wellington, Malmesbury, Paarl, Franschhoek, Riebeek Kasteel, Piketberg, Porterville, Rawsonville, Worcester and Stellenbosch are within three quarters of an hour's drive from the valley and Cape Town accommodation is only 120km away.
