Set in the garden on the sprawling grounds of the Backsberg Wine Estate, Backsberg restaurant is an alfresco experience during summer - moved indoors next to roaring fire in winter. An a la carte menu features laid back comfort food, made with fresh ingredients and a special Backsberg twist. The restaurant prides itself on being child-friendly, offering a children’s menu, a jungle gym and plenty of space to play.
Lamb on the spit is offered every day in summer, and on Sundays in winter. A three course menu is offered on Sundays, including live music and an appealing winelist! Some of our menu favourites include; the lamb Ciabatta, served with a fresh salad and potato wedges; Franschhoek salmon trout, pan-fried with Backsberg Chardonnay sauce, potatoes and fresh vegetables, rounded off perfectly with the majestic, Summer pavlova.
