Hiraeth at Monument House offers accommodation in Franschhoek, nestled behind the famous Huguenot Museum, a mere five minutes walk from Franschhoek High-street. Monument House is settled over 4 acres of manicured gardens and indigenous meadows.

Hiraeth House is a holiday home in Franschhoek that is designed to create a place where we instinctively feel connected. Saturated with colour and designer patterns, a flamboyance of furniture melds together in an exhibition of joie de vivre, overflowing with elegance and vibrancy.

Hiraeth has two bedrooms furnished with King-size beds, one of which can be converted to twin beds. The rooms each have a full en-suite bathroom.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self catering. The large lounge offers a fireplace, TV with satellite channels and Wi-Fi is provided. The living spaces open to your personal, covered terrace and private, secluded garden

There is a solar heated swimming pool, Jacuzzi and a natural pond. High speed Wi-Fi, secure parking, security cameras and beams are monitored for peace of mind. At least 85% of our energy is produced by solar power, ensuring continuous power during load shedding.

Attractions

The Culinary Capital of South Africa, Franschhoek has a high Street that that boasts many of the finest restaurants in the country, numerous galleries and boutiques. A perfect base for those wishing to explore the area on foot and in which to experience the "Grand Tour " that only the Franschhoek Valley can provide.

For the wine aficionado there are ever 40 vineyards in this region, ranging from regal and rustic through to branded and boutique, one as beautiful as the next, all of which produce astonishingly good wine. Franschhoek Wine Tram allows an ease of access for those not in the mood to drive.
