Just because it has the residential address of the sleepy coastal village of Sedgefield, it does not mean that PiliPili skimps on sheer adventure, fun and adrenalin. PiliPili Xtreme Sport Centre is the Garden Route’s answer for those that love water, exploring the outdoors, and pairing these with lashings of excitement.
It is situated on Myoli Beach, which is particularly popular for kite-surfing, as well as surfing, wake-boarding and SUP-ping (stand up paddling). The beach has endless stretches of white sand, perfect for a game of volley ball. Other activities organised by PiliPili include mountain biking the various nearby trails, horse riding through the Western Cape landscapes, canoeing, bungy jumping from Bloukrans Bridge (the world’s highest commercial bungy jump, at 216 metres), and shark cage diving, for a close encounter with a great white shark. These experiences can be tailored to suit your needs and budget.
PiliPili’s restaurant and bar invites tired surfers and hot suntanners to relax, feel the soft sand under their toes, and sip on a cold draft or a cocktail. Pizzas, burgers, steaks, fish, and other firm favourites pepper the menu, and the service is friendly and relaxed.
Sedgefield is a small town with friendly folk. It is only 15 minutes’ drive from Knysna and less than an hour from Plettenberg Bay, George and Mossel Bay. This part of South Africa, aptly called the Garden Route, is acclaimed for its unrivalled beauty and natural variety. The landscape rapidly transforms from beaches to forests, rivers to mountains; making it one of the most aesthetically stunning places to spend long summer days.
