Trogon House & Forest Spa offers accommodation in Plettenberg Bay in Animal Valley. The lodge lies within the untouched indigenous forest on the most scenic and unspoilt stretch of the Garden Route, flanking world renowned tourist attractions such as Monkeyland, Birds of Eden and The Elephant Sanctuary.

The picturesque seaside town of Plettenberg Bay, with its stunning never-ending beaches, ocean based activities and gastronomic delights is only a 20 minute drive away.

Accommodation

Trogon House & Forest Spa has five guest house rooms all with King-size beds, glass ceilings in the private bathrooms, a TV with DStv and a tea / coffee station and an unstocked mini bar fridge.

The rooms are all tastefully decorated to make it the perfect comfortable home away from home surrounded by forest beauty and the sounds of nature. Elevated in the treetops and using only natural materials, this unique establishment embraces the forest by means of glass walls and sky-lit roofs, inviting the forest inside and creating a true "nature" experience. Please note that we have resident lodge pets that are on site.

Breakfast is included in the rates and served daily. Snacks, lunch and dinner platters are available at an additional cost on request.

Spa

Book the Forest Spa for some relaxation (no treatments included) for an additional fee per couple, for two hours exclusive use. This includes use of the Sauna and Jacuzzi; a wood fire is lit with gentle music playing, candles, gowns and slippers are provided while the stress melts away in the glass room surrounded by lush forest. Platters and/or a bottle of MCC can be arranged and brought down to the room for your spa booking. We also offer a range of various massages performed by some of the best therapists along the Garden Route.

Area Information

Plettenberg Bay has gained somewhat of a reputation as a pleasure seeker hotspot, and has many leisure activities on offer. From polo at Kurland, to yachting at the Keurbooms River mouth and marina, to less high brow activities like swimming and water sports in the warm, gentle waters. In fact, when you enter the town proper, a monument to one of the symbols of this lush, almost tropical bay greets you: a bronze statue of the dolphins that play in the warm waters just off the coast.
