The Nest is a tiny house like suite offering accommodation in Rheenendal, Knysna. The Nest is based at Woodlands Self Catering and is ideal for a couple looking for a romantic break away overlooking spectacular indigenous gardens and private forest.

Self Catering Accommodation

The Nest is a Holiday Cottage in Rheenendal that sleeps two guests. The room is upstairs on a mezzanine level and is furnished with a Queen-size bed. The bathroom is downstairs and is fitted with a shower, toilet and basin.

There is air conditioning and the living area has a custom made day bed and coffee table. The fully fitted kitchen is equipped with two plate gas hob, fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, crockery, cutlery, cookware, cleaning products and indoor/outdoor breakfast bar.

Outside there is a deck with braai facilities and contemporary hand made rare wood furniture that is simple but exquisitely comfortable.

On Site Facilities

Secure parking is provided. The indigenous garden with paths, bridges, rockeries, fynbos, ponds and numerous benches is the idyllic place to relax and unwind. One of a kind hanging gardens, sculptures and planter shelves add to the overall effect of living art.

Attractions & Activities

A private walking trail winds down through the indigenous forest before crossing our suspension bridge over the stream at the bottom of the valley. Our forest is home to plenty of wildlife including porcupines, bush buck, wild pigs, monkeys, baboons, spotted genet, caracal and honey badgers as well as incredible bird life including the iconic Knysna Turaco. Sunbirds, Hoepoes and various water birds also frequent the gardens throughout the year.
