Boshuis, a self catering house offers self catering accommodation in George in a farm stay home, 15 minutes from George Airport. You will feel as though you are miles away from civilization as you are surrounded by birdsong, fresh mountain air and the sound of the nearby stream.

Self Catering Accommodation

Boshuis is a self catering holiday home in George. The two bedrooms are both furnished with King-size, extra length beds. The en-suite bathrooms are fitted with soaking tubs that have exquisite views, inside and outside showers, toilet and basin. Toiletries are provided.

The kitchen is well equipped and includes a four-plate gas hob, microwave, toaster and fridge / freezers. Salt, pepper, braai salt, olive oil, black tea, rooibos, ground coffee and sugar are provided. For you to enjoy this space, we're happy to share where to find the best, local fresh produce. We also have an expansive veggie garden that you are welcome to explore. A complimentary welcome pack includes 6 eggs from our chickens, a bottle of home made piquante peppers and a jar of farm baked rusks.

With Wi-Fi, multiple comfortable sitting areas, which include an indoor braai area, fireplace, outside fire pit and pizza oven, our aim is to make you feel at home and experience the beauty and restorative powers of nature. A bag of firewood and matches are provided.

Attractions

The farm offers a few walks along the river and you are welcome to wander about, but please be wary of the buffalo and do not walk near them. They are wild animals and extremely dangerous, no matter how docile they may seem. We will advise you which camps the buffalo are currently in when you arrive, so that you know where it is safe to walk. Guests can enjoy a lovely hike along the Modder River that leads you to a waterfall and freshwater cool pool which you can take a dip in if you are brave!

We can help guests who would like to enjoy longer hiking trails and guide you which routes to take with many trails in the area that traverses the Outeniqua mountain range. Mountain bikers can cycle on the nearby farm roads and even tackle the Montague Pass. We can advise you on routes in the area.
