About George Golf Club
The scenic and popular Garden Route town of George plays host to the respected Par 72, 18 hole George Golf Course. Set at the foot of the Outeniqua Mountains the Club offers breath taking landscapes of the mountain and surrounding plateau.
A regular feature in South Africa’s Top Ten golf courses, George Golf Club is by all means a South African must-play and every golfer is encouraged to take the trip out and sip in some of the magnificence on display here. So respected for its playability is George that some locals prefer it over the Fancourt Trio located nearby.
George is one the oldest clubs in the country, designed by Dr Charles Molteno Murray and absolutely swims in history. Keeping the fairways and greens in top notch has been one of the main priorities and visitors can see for themselves just how much passion goes into keeping the grounds pristine. The greens have been revamped in recent years too!
The course offers three tees ranging from Championship to Ladies and visitors are of course readily welcomed by the warm and friendly club members to join in a two-tee start that takes place twice day and you are forewarned that booking is essential. Book your accommodation in George and your tee-off times ahead to avoid disappointment.
Facilities include caddies, clubhouse, motorized carts a pro shop and all that you have come to expect from the great courses in South Africa.
