About Outeniqua Golf Course at Fancourt

Named after the Mountain that overlooks this magnificent Garden Route golfing gem, the Outeniqua Course at Fancourt is one that barely needs introduction.

Of the two parklands courses offered at Fancourt, the Outeniqua is regarded as the easier. Don't let that fool you however; the Outeniqua has been ranked the number one golf course in South Africa on a few occasions and presents a true test of golfing with its many risk-and-reward opportunities.

The 18 hole championship course has been ranked par 72 and offers four tees varying approximately 1.5km's worth of pristine kikuyu fairway. The streams and water hazards that come into play on eleven of the holes add exciting shore challenges to the elegant course. Visitors are advised to book accommodation in George and tee-off times well ahead, to avoid disappointment.

As with all the courses at Fancourt players are limited to members, their guests and resort guests, providing a peace of mind when taking an extra moment to determine which weapon to draw from your arsenal of clubs.

Along with world leading facilities the club also provides a full length practise range along with dedicated areas for chipping and bunker shots should you feel the need to loosen up or perfect a shot you've been working on prior to playing.
