A short distance of 10km from Wellington will see you to the Bobbejaans River Trail which is 9km in totally and should take approximately 6 hours to complete, fitness level dependant.
Youíll find yourself hiking along the Bobbejaans River in Bainskloof while you make your way to the waterfall. Begin your day at the Eerste Tol parking area, which is safe to leave your vehicle parked. Find the wooden style over a wire fence about 50 metres away from the parking lot and make your way along the trail.
The pathway leads you into the kloof where you cross the Witte River, which is a tributary of the Bobbejaans River. Once you make your way out of the kloof youíll be on the countour above the Bobbejaans River and from then youíre on easy street all the way to the waterfall. Keep your eyes open for the turn offs approximately 3.5km on the trail where youíll find a good swimming spot or two on the river where you can cool off.
Itís recommended to do this trail during the summer months as during winter the Witter River is often very full making it dangerous to cross and therefore the trail may be closed.
