The Girls, Wilderness

Highly recommended by anyone who has ever eaten there, The Girls is an unlikely forerunner for top restaurant in the Wilderness, due to its less-than-appealing location, but excellent food and bucket loads of charm make it shine! Expect a kooky atmosphere with lashings of quirk, peppered with African curios and art.

On the starter menu, there are ‘oysters, oysters and more oysters’! The Girls wow with succulent Cajun spiced strips; steak tartare; matured fillet and escargots, amongst other delicious starter dishes. Then there are the prawns - cooked in ways you’ve never imagined, from smoky Mexican to lemongrass and sesame!

Patrons swear the steak is the best they’ve ever had, served with a selection of delectable sauces - and melt-in-your-mouth tender. AAA Karan beef fillet, rib eye and sirloin steaks are cooked to perfection, and served with potatoes and vegetables. Seafood and fresh fish are cooked to perfection, while their Thai influenced curries are perfect for those chilly nights.
