Emily Moon is one of those one-in-a-million restaurants, booked by international guests long before arrival, yet surprisingly without a hint of pretention. Prepare to be blown away by the magical setting, eccentric décor made up of curiosities and collectables, lending it an ‘Out of Africa’ feel, mixed with unique Moroccan tinged features - and the promise of dressed-up delectable food.

The Emily Moon experience is about lingering. It’s about laughing. It’s about soaking up the atmosphere and letting go. With seating indoors, outdoors, on the terrace and around the pool, patrons are invited to take part in something very special when sojourning at Emily’s. Talented chef, Larry Steenkamp, possesses the unique ability to make simple food look and taste out-of-this-world.

The simple lunch and dinner menu focuses on quality, not quantity, with dishes such as crispy tempura vegetables with sweet chilli and wasabi mayonnaise, or tuna & sesame spring rolls to start. Home-smoked beef Carpaccio and Asian beef salad go down a treat too. For mains, the grain-fed fillet béarnaise melts in your mouth, as does the beef Rogan Josh, served with basmati rice, naan bread and sambals. The grilled sirloin with de Paris butter, is paired with tempura onion rings and mash. Round off dinner with decadent orange crème brulée, chocolate fondant or the mind-blowing strawberry and crème Anglaise Millefeuille.
