The Devonvale Golf & Wine Estate is a working wine farm, residential estate and of course a 1st Class golf course all rolled into one premium package that you could wake up to each new day.
Nestled in the Bottelary Valley Hills, just 5 minutes outside of the Stellenbosch, Devonvale is a championship golf course that was originally designed by Ken Elkin, a favourite course architect who designed the more notable of Western Cape courses. In recent times the course has undergone a few cosmetic changes such as removal of alien vegetation and the introduction of indigenous flora; the result - astounding views of the vineyards and mountains that lay before you as you take up the challenge and a far happier eco-system.
Devonvale’s fairways are of Kikuyu and the greens, Bent. Every detail is tended and no cost spared to in order to ensure that your playing experience is handicapped no more than your own. Holes one through eighteen are filled with their own individual character and the course itself adds to this by simultaneously being an Arboretum that contains more than 45 tree and plant species. Devonvale is well bunkered and holds several water holes that are bound to make life interesting both on and off the fairways.
Visitors are fully welcomed by Devonvale and are encouraged to book ahead of time.
Devonvale Golf and Wine Estate is a world class championship golf course, working wine farm and residential estate offering upmarket accommodation, conferencing and event opportunities.
