About Keerweder Cottages
Cottages Keerweder stands as one of Franschhoek’s most historic farms, dating back to 1692 when it was granted to Heinrik Muller of Basel by Governor Simon van der Stel under the VOC. Today, the farm still operates as a thriving agricultural estate, producing high-quality goods for international markets while preserving its centuries-old heritage.
Self-Catering Accommodation
The Keerweder Cottages are thoughtfully designed one-bedroom units, each offering a well-appointed bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, an inviting dining space, a welcoming lounge area, and a private terrace overlooking rows of plum orchards and the dramatic outline of the surrounding mountains.
Heinrik Cottage (Deluxe Cottage) includes an extra-length king-size bed and a bathroom featuring both a bathtub and separate shower. Muller Cottage (Superior Cottage) offers a distinctive charm, with its four-poster king-size bed, classic Queen Anne chairs, and a generously sized shower.
Both cottages are equipped with silent fans, hairdryers, and dressing tables with mirrors. The kitchens include an air fryer oven, allowing for convenient self-catering, while the living areas are fitted with comfortable seating, fireplaces, and smart TVs with Netflix, along with a selection of games to enjoy during quieter moments.
