Located at 239 Boom Street in Pietermaritzburg is a converted Victorian Cottage called Rosehurst. The gorgeous garden was established almost thirty years ago and is influenced by the garden at Sissinghurst Castle in South East England.

Featuring hedges, topiary and informal plantings, the garden is divided into a number of smaller gardens, each with their own colour theme; there’s the pink lawn garden, a yellow sundial garden, white gazebo garden and mauve side garden. If this was not enough there is also a delightful café and shop filled with quirky bits and pieces. The café serves light refreshments including decadent chocolate scones.
