Situated in the quaint town of Dargle, Inversanda Farm Cottages offers comfortable Natal Midlands accommodation on a farm. Home to a variety of bird species and a major attraction to the fishing enthusiast - the area around Dargle, Fort Nottingham and Balgowan, is renowned for excellent fly-fishing.

Self Catering Accommodation

Inversanda Farm Cottages consists of three self catering holiday homes. Guests can enjoy indoor and outdoor games including badminton and scrabble. Secure parking is available on site.

The Judges House:
This house sleeps up to eight guests in four bedrooms. The main bedroom has a double bed as well as an en-suite bathroom and the other three bedrooms each have twin beds and share two bathrooms. The living area has comfortable furniture where guests are able to relax in front of the fireplace and a dining room where guests can eat. There is a fully equipped kitchen that consists of a stove, oven, dishwasher and other essentials.

The Farmhouse Private Wing:
The Farmhouse Private Wing has its own private entrance and sleeps up to four guests in two bedrooms. The main bedroom has an extra length King-size bed and the second bedroom has a twin bedroom. There is a two plate stove, microwave, tea / coffee making facilities and a fridge / freezer in the kitchenette. The large comfortable lounge is great for guests to relax. Outside on the patio there are splendid views of the Nhlosane mountain.

The Barn Cottage:
The Barn Cottage comfortably sleeps up to six guests in two bedrooms. The main bedroom has an extra length King-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet and a basin. The second bedroom has twin beds, a bunk bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower.

The Judge’s House is ideal for 2 families to share who want lots of space. It is a short drive or walk from the farmhouse. The Judge’s House has 2 double bedrooms (main en-suite) and 2 twin bedded rooms, family bathroom and a guest loo. It has a large fully equipped kitchen, formal dining room and large sitting room with a fireplace. The verandah has extensive views of the valley. There is also an adjoining granny flat with open plan bedroom/kitchen and bathroom which is ideal for young families who wish to bring a nanny with them.

The Farmhouse Private Wing

The farmhouse was built to a scale more commonly found on the sugar cane estates of the north coast of KZN and was much larger than the family needed. The private wing was therefore converted into a self-contained unit to help the farm get on its feet. It has its own entrance and garden. It also boasts the best fireplace on the farm which makes it really cosy in winter. It has a large sitting room, dining room and kitchenette. There is also a large family bedroom with an extra-long king size bed, twin bedroom and verandah with a magnificent view of the Nhlosane mountain.

The Barn Cottage

The barn cottage was one of the original farm tractor sheds and comfortably sleeps 6. It is situated in a kikuyu field above the farmhouse where the horses often graze. It was converted largely using the farm staff when they had time to spare and took almost 2 years to complete. It is ideal for families taking their children and friends out from school as the 2nd bedroom has twin beds, a bunk bed and ensuite bathroom with a shower. The main bedroom has an extra-long king size bed and full ensuite bathroom. There is a large open plan fully equipped kitchen/sitting room with a fireplace and large verandah with a wonderful view of the Nhlosane mountain.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable & rejuvenating stay - unfortunately could only be one night. The Barn Cottage was comfortable & our hosts were most welcoming & helpful. The engagement with the animal farm characters made it a unique & memorable encounter! Sadly not fishing season, but my sons had an invigorating plunge in the river!
