Hleka Manzi Lodge is comfortable and well-appointed Midlands Meander lodge offering accommodation in Dargle at Tillietudlem Nature Reserve. The house is perched over the spectacular 30m Hleka Manzi (Laughing waters) waterfall on the upper reaches of the Elands River.

Self Catering Accommodation

Hleka Manzi Lodge is a self catering holiday home in Dargle sleeping eight guests. There are four bedrooms, one is furnished with a Queen-size bed and three are furnished with twin beds. The main bedroom features an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, toilet and basin, while the other bedrooms share a bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin.

Relax in the spacious open plan lounge and dining room with a welcoming fireplace for those cold mountain evenings. A sleeper couch is available in the lounge. A fully equipped kitchen provides all the necessary amenities for self catering. Other facilities include a TV with satellite channels, electric blankets, gas heaters and braai facilities. There is no Wi-Fi or cell phone reception on the reserve.

An expansive wooden deck overlooks the canopy of indigenous forest with spectacular views of the Inhluzane Mountain. Tranquility and seclusion make this an ideal place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the reserve.

Experience

A visit to Tillietudlem Nature Reserve will allow to you experience all of this amazing biodiversity, even if you only take a short walk in the open grassland or indigenous forests. You cannot help stumble across many of nature's treasures here, from the largest of all antelope species, the gracious Eland, to the delicate wild flora found along the banks of the streams.

Fisherman can access several exceptional trout dams and the river within easy walking distance where trophy Brown and Rainbow Trout up to 4.2kg have been caught. Tillietudlem offers exceptional and exclusive fly fishing for Rainbow and Brown trout, plus indigenous Yellow Fish, in five dams and the Eland's River. Guided fishing and fly-fishing clinics are available by prior arrangement.
