The Studio at The Aloes Farm is a private cottage offering Midlands self catering accommodation in Hilton on an active 10 ha small-holding, bordering the Hilton College estate. This stunning property provides a unique combination of rural living just five km from the N3 highway. There is abundant space for children to play on the lawn as parents relax and catch their breaths.

Self Catering Accommodation

The Studio at The Aloes Farm is a self catering cottage with three bedrooms. The main bedroom has a Queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a generous-sized corner bath and separate shower. The second room has a Queen-size bed and the third bedroom has two three quarter beds. These two rooms share a bathroom with a shower.

The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher, Espresso coffee machine, gas oven / stove, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge with water dispenser. The comfortable lounge has a cosy fireplace with abundant wood to ensure that you can stay warm on the chilly Hilton nights, TV with satellite channels and free Wi-Fi.

The expansive views from the patio and garden extend across farmlands to the Berg – the perfect place for relaxing sundowners or a braai. When sitting at the large patio table it is the perfect spot to enjoy peaceful moments with family and friends.

The Area

Sitting astride the main dolomite ridge that extends from Hilton, the farm has spectacular panoramic views to the east that overlook Albert Falls Dam and Wartburg, and to the west towards the Nhlozane Peak and the Drakensberg where The Giant can be seen silhouetted against the sunset on clear evenings.

All these natural features contribute to an amazing sense of space and peace, and guests are welcome to walk through farmlands and natural veld, to savour the quiet and peace of the area, enjoying the evening call of jackal, the burble of firey necked nightjars or the sharp whistles of reedbuck.

Had the most amazing weekend at The Studio, what a beautiful peaceful place, one has no choice but to relax! From start to finish, the accommodation was first class, impeccably clean, beautifully furnished, comfortable, had absolutely everything you could ask for...from a log fire to crisp white linen to homemade hot chocolate...an absolute spoil...a "dream " home away from home! Shelagh & Richard were warm welcoming hosts, cant say enough about this gorgeous place, already planning to go back!

Stunningly beautiful and well appointed house. Every item was was carefully chosen from the crockery to the furniture. The surroundings are soothing to the soul, quiet and peaceful. A perfect place to work, clear your mind or just spend some time with loved ones. Walking trails are fun and safe to explore. Nothing was too much trouble for Shelagh. From the homemade muffins, hot chocolate and muesli. It really felt like a home away from home. Private enough but also near enough to modern amenities if needed. This is good value for money.
