Peace and tranquillity would be the embodiment of your stay at Ukuthula Lodge, as you relax, unwind, and take in the full view of the mountain and dam, from the beautifully appointed balconies and covered patio downstairs. Beautiful rock work around the house brings us back to our roots in the mountain.

Self Catering Accommodation

Ukuthula Lodge is spacious and elegantly furnished holiday home in Dargle, able to accommodate 12 guests, in 5 bedrooms.

With three en-suite bedrooms downstairs and two loft rooms upstairs with a shared bathroom downstairs. Bedroom one is furnished with a King-size, extra length bed, with a bath and walk-in shower in the en-suite bathroom. Bedrooms two and three comprise a King-size bed and double bed respectfully, with walk-in showers in the en-suite bathrooms. Bedroom four (loft 1) is furnished with a Queen-size bed and one three-quarter bed. Bedroom 5 (loft 2) has three three-quarter beds. Both lofts walk out onto balconies, with great views.

The open plan kitchen, dining and living area allows for a great social environment. The front kitchen is equipped for your self-catering needs, with 5-plate gas range-cooker, prep basin, and seating at the prep island. The back kitchen has with a large fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and ample storage space. The dining room space has a 10–12-seater table and a fireplace. The lodge has a flat screen TV with the hospitality DStv package. No Wi-Fi or streaming services are available.

The outside patio has an 8-seater table, a portable braai as well as an open area firepit.

Paddle skis and a canoe are left at the jetty for your enjoyment. The accommodation is serviced daily.

Please note:
SUV or 4x4's are required to access the road to Star Dam Estate.

• Horse rides and boats are charged an additional fee.
• Horse riding - with an abundance of scenic trails, our guide, Elliot will take you on a guided tour of Inhlosane Farm.
• Mountain biking - there are stunning trails to explore and enjoy.
• Fishing / boating - there are three fishing boats for hire. Perfect for fly fishing or as a fun way to explore the dam.

These charges will be deducted from your breakage deposit which needs to be paid by EFT prior to arrival, this is refunded in part or in full by EFT, depending on breakages incurred during your stay, within 10 working days after your departure.
