About Thatchings Guest House
Thatchings Guest House offers accommodation in a country-style guest house, ideally located just 10km from Nottingham Road, in the Midlands. It is also just a short 2km drive from the N3, which is the major route between Johannesburg and Durban. It is part of the Midlands Meander, which is one of South Africa's premier arts and crafts routes.
The guest house lies in a beautiful setting of ancient pine trees and rolling lawns, that overlook a picturesque trout dam. It is also complete surrounded by a 300-hectare private game estate. With no fences to inhibit them, impala, zebra, wildebeest, and duikers frequently wander onto the property.
Accommodation
Each room is tastefully furnished in country-style and includes electric blankets and heaters, magazines, flat-screen TV, and tea and coffee making facilities. A laundry and ironing service can be arranged. A limited babysitting service can be provided by prior arrangement.
Thatching's has a guest lounge with a log fireplace, DStv as well as a games room and a well-stocked pub with a log fireplace and a good selection of wines.
