About Devon Hill Winery

At Devon Hill, they believe in taking a very hands-on approach to their winemaking in order to ensure superb wines. Behind all the magic, is cellar master Theo Brink. He once had the role of winemaker at Uitkyk and viticulturist at Bergkelder before retiring. But the board of this Swiss owned estate could not allow his talent to go to waste and hired him to create wonders with these flavourful grapes. He loves the fact that Devon Hill is a small estate which allows his attention to be focused on the individual wines.

The panoramic valley view will take you breath away with views stretching from False Bay and cape Hangklip to the Helderberg, Simonsberg and the Franschhoek mountains. 50 hectares are planted to vines and the Devon Valley Wine of Origin range, consisting of a Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinotage and Bluebird (a blend of Merlot, Pinotage and Cabernet Sauvignon).

The cool breezes on the Southerly slopes are perfect for the Sauvignon Blanc whilst the Shiraz benefits from the warm northern slopes. They no longer have a value for money range but have introduced a second label called Four Star which is a blend of Merlot, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinotage.
