The magnificent Langebaan Lagoon is the proud gem of the West Coast National Park, about 120 kilometres from Cape Town in the Western Cape. To experience the untouched beauty, the fresh, crisp air and the breath-taking vistas of greens and blues, kayaking trips on the lagoon and sea are ideal. They are conducted at a comfortable pace by an experienced guide, who can reveal the secrets and wonders of the local fauna and flora, both of the land and of the sea.
Whether you want a peaceful meander across the tranquil waters, or you feel more adventurous and are looking for an exciting adventure, there is a kayaking trip for you. Thanks to the trained guides, visitors are not required to have previous paddling experience and only a relative level of fitness is recommended. Shorter trips are great for little ones over five years of age and safety gear is provided as part of the tours.
Along the way, exquisite bird species can be spotted, and guides will point out those that are, perhaps, a little more elusive.
At lunchtime, you will take a break on the beach and enjoy a meal. There are short day trips or those that can be enjoyed over several days, depending on the experience you want to have. Special rates apply to larger groups and midweek tours.
