The Daily is a national franchise that is a favourite for its delicious coffees, comprehensive menu and the range of sweet treats that await discerning diners. Knysna's The Daily coffee café is conveniently situated in Woodmill Lane, where the peaceful tinklings of the water features are complemented by the relaxed atmosphere and the comings and goings of international tourists as they explore one of South Africa’s prettiest towns.

The Daily’s breakfast menu includes traditional favourites of bacon and eggs, as well as omelettes, the breakfast parfait (with fruit and yoghurt), comforting oats with honey and banana, flapjacks, French toast, a breakfast wrap and a choice of buttery croissants.

Light meals are ideal for peckish diners, while hungrier patrons are also spoilt for choice. Gourmet open sandwiches, pressed sandwiches, salads, pulled pork burgers, Cajun chicken burgers, chicken schnitzels, fish cakes, and savoury pancakes are all on offer. In addition, there are options for those that are following a low-carb (often dubbed Banting) lifestyle. These include Cajun chicken with cauliflower puree, Moussaka, a beef tower, and stuffed vegetables.

The décor is simultaneously modern and comfortably inviting, with plenty of neutral colours and natural materials to add warmth. The ambience is one of elegance and serenity.

Woodmill Lane is home to a number of speciality stores and some larger retail outlets. There is a pirate ship and sandpit in which the little ones are sure to keep very busy. The Waterfront is a 10-minute walk from this shopping complex, and the sprawling views of the Knysna Lagoon are similarly nearby. Slightly further afield (about 15 to 20 minutes away), visitors can witness the absolute awe-inspiring scale and beauty of the Knysna Heads.

Knysna is one of the most popular holiday towns along the world-renowned Garden Route.
